I purchased a 200 DX about a year ago and I am thrilled it … it works flawlessly every time. Ease of operation and the ability to see what your settings are at a g are a big plus … it is an AC DC...

Outstanding ... good luck with the aluminum ... it can be a challenge … remember it's the most persnickety thing you can weld when it comes to cleanliness. Redress your tungsten watch the setting.

The suggestions stated are valid ... basic settings a crucial as well for aluminum set on ACEN with a starting balance around 30% and frequency set around 100 HZ ... No pulse ... proper gas flow and...

It depends on the type of electrode and how it's stored ... if you store 7018 in a cold wet environment it wont last long ... does OK if kept dry and electrode ovens are great ... I've used five year...
