this is 1/4 plate it is cutting -well got my aluminum i needed and my foot switch . works great all need to do is get a flat piece of plastic to lay what i am tracing on since got darn welding spatter on my table and gouges kept snagging on the stuff while tracing . traced a piece and turned out exactly the same .installed a long bolt at one end as a counter balance weight holder , have some strap steel coming to do the slats for the table . the tracing piece at the end will be replaced with a shaft with a roller ball on the end here is the pics 69896990699169926993

Oh yeah, that's what it's all about. You've got plenty of range in your setup to trace a very large piece too. Everything working smoothly for you now?

yes works great only thing i need to do is put a bolt with a nut at each corner of plasma table since my bench's are not level the farthest bench is like 1/4" or more lower than the closer bench in pics . the only thing i wish i did was make it over 48 inches one way so could rip cut 4x8 sheets

Golly, Rod. Just how much space do you have at your shop?!? I would love to have the luxury of being able to work with such large sheets ....

That's a pretty good size shop. Lots of space for your tools and creations!

Looks like a simple tool will do lots of work for you.
What is the gap height you are cutting? I think you need abigger one to reduce the dross.

Looks good. Do you think using one of the wire standoffs would work for this to keep your torch at a consistent distance?

I am thinking about making a steel tailor type cantilever CNC plasma.
