Everlast,

Wow you guys are really stepping up to the plate with all the new features! Keeping up with social media's like facebook, twitter, google, Yahoo Messenger, and AIM. This is all very good.

This is becoming a regular hub for many who are welding and metal working! GOOD JOB!

Keep it coming! :D

I did post in that thread. In fact Steve just responded to my post and agrees with me..

Flux core has it's place, basically where gas will not work or if that is all you have :).

Many people have never use gas and it works fine. Just once you use gas you get spoiled. I don't get all the spatter you are seeing, but I did when I first started with it many moons ago.

Keep the contact tip as close to the work as you can and build up a good pool and travel at the right speed and you will see it's almost as good as using Argon/C02.

Yeah I guess I wandered from the original question... Now it's on a stick welding subject. Thanks! Any tips on stick welding would be greatly appreciated. :) This thread is about my complimenting the forum though.....

Honestly I have been really busy and have not been able to get on here as often as I did previously and would like so I have not really noticed too many new features that we can use but it does seem like these contests are working and attracting more members to the forums.

Maybe I am just now noticing some of features..haven't been on for so long. I skipped from June to now, so I missed some stuff. Good forum, good info, and good tech support.

I used flux core for the first 4 years of my welding because I was just learning and earning with my building of grills and smokers. I went to gas after I felt more comfortable with my welding (not to much ) and I was soo suprised with how the weld flowed out smooth and not all the popping and beads everywhere. A better quality product and better looking weld. A change of style a little but realy worth it when you learn to use the gas. Try it, you'll like it. Mickey

Mickey,

Did you mean to post this here? Your post is way off topic.....I'm wondering if you meant to post it Here:http://www.everlastgenerators.com/forums/showthread.php/1973-Gas-vs-flux-core

Thanks,

Yeah I figured you must have pulled an accident on yourself. I am not irritated :) I just thought it was a wacky spot to be talking flux-core haha :P You can click "Edit Post" then copy all the verbiage out of it, and just click reply thread on the thread you intended on posting on originally and wha-la! :D

Cheer's,
