There are two different types of grooves available with these products, which are 'v-groove' and 'knurled groove'. A v-groove is a type of weld, which has an opening in the shape of letter "V". Though it needs more joint preparation, it requires less weld metal. Knurled groove rollers have a smooth surface at the bottom, which allows the wire to have more surface area contact. MIG roller kits are available in pairs of 0.6mm - 0.8mm, 0.8mm - 1.0mm, 1.0mm - 1.2mm. EVERLAST knurled groove flux core/ dual shield rollers come a in pair of 0.8mm - 1.0mm and a set of 1.2mm - 1.6mm. The pair of 0.6mm - 0.8mm, 0.8mm - 1.0mm v-groove rollers and pair of 0.8mm - 1.0mm knurled groove rollers belong to the Power I MIG 160, 200, and 205 MIG welders.
The pair of 0.8mm - 1.0mm, 1.0mm - 1.2mm v-groove rollers and set of 1.2mm - 1.6mm knurled groove rollers are for Power I MIG 250P welders.
